Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the practice of improving a website to increase its visibility in search engines like Google, Bing, and others. The goal of SEO is to drive more organic traffic by achieving higher rankings in search engine results. Briefly there are three main types of SEO: On-page SEO, Off-page SEO , and Technical SEO.
a): On-Page SEO means optimizing everything on website to improve rankings. It helps search engines understand page content better. The most important part is using the right keywords—words people type into Google. These keywords should appear in the title, headings, and content. The meta description (a short summary under the title in Google) should attract clicks. Use of alt text for images so search engines know what the image shows.
b): Off-Page SEO refers to activities done outside website to improve its search engine ranking. The goal is to increase website’s authority, trustworthiness, and popularity. Backlinks (links from other websites to yours) are the most important part. Social media sharing increases content visibility and can bring more visitors. Directory submissions (submitting site to online directories) can give backlinks.
c); Technical SEO involves improving the backend and structure of website to help search engines crawl, index, and rank it better. A fast-loading website improves user experience and search engine rankings. Site should be mobile-friendly and work well on phones and tablets. Ensure site uses HTTPS (SSL certificate) for secure connections.
