  The Digital Revolution: From Binary Code to Modern Programming Our journey begins with the birth of  binary  - the simple yet revolutionary 1s and 0s that power all computing. The foundation was laid in 1679 when German mathematician  Gottfried Leibniz  formalized the binary number system, inspired by the ancient Chinese  I Ching  and its yin-yang duality. But it took nearly 300 years for this theory to become practical technology. The real breakthrough came in 1937 when  Claude Shannon  (USA), in his groundbreaking MIT master's thesis, connected binary logic to electrical circuits.
